Immigration Visa Process
The British High Commission in India has measures to simplify the visa application process. Students should log in to their visa application at one of the application centre’s, functioned by Visa Facilitation Services (VFS).
VFS collects the mandatory document and will take biometric data of the student, which includes a photograph and a digital scan of your fingerprints. Along with appointment confirmation, Visa fee receipt. passport and recent photograph. After the paper submission student will need to sit a brief interview in the visa application centre and will be questioned by an interviewer.
All applications at VFS are then instantly accelerated to the High Commission or the relevant Deputy High Commission. The valuation of the visa application and the final decision on whether you would require an interview or not will be taken by an Entry Clearance Officer at the British High Commission or the related Deputy High Commission. And if the visa application is successful student passport sanctioned with the appropriate UK visa is returned to the VFS office by courier & may be asked to come and collect it or it is couriered to the student’s home or office address. The processing time for a clearance application is 95% within 12 weeks.
